If you were at our AGM in January, you will have seen the presentation from Toby Maclean, who bought the long-derelict building in 2009.  Toby’s vision is to restore the building, adding an extension while opening a café on the ground floor.

Restoring the building, which is believed to have lain derelict since the 1980s, is not going to be a quick job but Toby hopes to have the café open in 2012.  We look forward to the opening party

Situated at 92  Peckham Road, just at the junction with Southampton Way, is the latest addition to Peckham’s cultural and nightlife.

NEW GALLERY’S format of café, bar, gallery and bookshop aims to maintain a lively and dynamic atmosphere – and will run a programme of group and solo shows as well as hosting events, talks and performances.

It’s situated next to the new children’s playground, has outdoor seating (on warm days!), and looks very inviting.

Prices are only slightly higher than the original café (a relief), there’s a good choice on the menu, and free WiFi coming soon! Coffee is fair trade and eggs are free range.

Regulars of the old cafe will be pleased to hear there is still access to the world garden.

“No. 67″ boasts trendy decor, reasonably priced (ish) food and a nice garden to relax in. Exhibitions within the gallery are free.
