At long last – the moment many of us have been waiting for.

Further to the latest round of public consultations, the designs for the park have been revised and priorities for the first phase of redesign finalised.

A brand new café has opened within the South London Gallery on Peckham Road.

Our local councillor for Peckham, Barrie Hargrove (now Cabinet member responsible for the environment), has responded to concerns recently raised about the Burgess Park Masterplan proposals. Plans for getting rid of one of the notorious Elephant & Castle roundabouts have surfaced, with work starting in July to transform it into a safer area for cyclists and padestrians.

Yesterday saw the opening of the Peckham Space art project in the centre of Peckham.

Following lobbying of local councillors and the property developers of South City Court, signs have finally gone up for the imminent arrival of a much-needed convenience store on Southampton Way.
