route masters grab2

The current overcrowding situation on our local buses which EQRA has long been campaigning to try and improve has now been featured on national TV.

BBC2 series “The Route Masters” recently featured the current overcrowding problems on the 343 line in North Peckham. It showed the bus rammed full of passengers, large crowds repeatedly failing to board buses and clips from a recent meeting between local residents, local councillors and TFL representatives.

It’s great to see this issue getting more attention. Recently TFL representatives have begun to engage in more serious and open dialogue with residents about how to solve local transport problems. We hope that soon we’ll get some actual changes as a result.
