Plans for getting rid of one of the notorious Elephant & Castle roundabouts have surfaced, with work starting in July to transform it into a safer area for cyclists and padestrians.
It’ll also mean the end of the lengthy subways required to navigate the junction on foot.
According to the plans traffic should be using the new layout in October this year and the scheme completely finished by April 2011.
