LDA Design have been awarded the contract to undertake the renovations to Burgess Park using the funds won through the Mayor’s ‘Help a London Park’ Competition.
Work is due to start in Summer / Autumn 2010 and is expected to complete around March 2012.
It’s widely accepted that the £6 million allocated to the regeneration is a long way short of the funding needed for a substantial renovation, but the initial funds will provide better roads and pathways, improved boundaries and wildlife protection.
